Is it Grandpa's old fiberglass rod that sees the river one day a year? The rod you traded three others to afford? Or simply one of those rods that means a little more than the rest?
That's what we had in mind when we created the Wayward Walnut Rod Tube.
Made from walnut with a distinctive octagonal shape, these rod tubes offer something a little different from the traditional aluminum or fabric-covered options. Each features a removable lid secured by concealed magnets, giving the tube a clean, uninterrupted appearance that lets the natural walnut take center stage.
We offer two sizes to accommodate different styles of fly rods, from modern multi-piece rods to traditional two-piece designs.
32" Walnut Rod Tube — Modern Multi-Piece Rods
Overall length: 32"
Exterior diameter: 3"
Interior diameter: 2.245"
Designed for modern multi-piece fly rods
47" Walnut Rod Tube — Traditional Two-Piece Rods
Overall length: 47"
Interior diameter: 1⅜"
Designed for compatible two-piece fly rods
Make It Personal
Each tube offers a generous 1" × 15" engravable surface, perfect for adding a name, a favorite stretch of river, a meaningful date, or something entirely your own.
Whether you're preserving a treasured family rod, celebrating a special occasion, or giving someone a gift they'll remember, the possibilities for personalization make these tubes something more than ordinary rod storage.
