We went through 4 or 5 different shapes before we settled on what we found to be a great balance of grip and comfort. Our nets are handcrafted with a teardrop shape so that the end of the hoop is large enough to pull in any catch, while the holes of the fish-safe rubber net bags are small to avoid losing a smaller catch.
We spend a lot of time picking beautifully grained wood from central Pennsylvania. It is important to stay close by so that we can have a hand in not only picking the most beautiful wood, but also in processing it down correctly. Also, staying local is akin to staying eco-friendly.
