The hoop is 16 x 12 inches. This is a perfect trout net but can also handle larger fish species. The net bag is made of smaller holes so that small brookies wont escape. We wanted to build a landing net that can fish for anything
We handcrafted this model with a teardrop shape so that the end of the hoop is large enough to pull in any catch you have, while the holes of the fish safe rubber net bags are kept small to avoid losing a small catch.

All Wayward Classic Nets are built from Walnut, Hickory and Cherry. We source our wood from central Pennsylvania. It is important to stay close by so that we can have a hand in not only picking the most beautiful wood, but also in processing it down correctly. Also, staying local is akin to staying eco friendly.

We spend a lot of time picking beautifully grained walnut for the handles. The fat jake classic comes with wither an 18 inch handle.
