First Edition Maple Burl Slab Fly Tying Base - Circle
Maple Burl is one of the most spectacular wood grains that nature produces. It requires some skill in epoxy stabilization and that just happens to be a specialty of ours. By applying what we know of stabilization, we were able to bring you a sturdy, reliable, and beautiful fly tying base.
This base is truly one of a kind, as burl grain lines never repeat themselves. We have also made a custom turn knob out of walnut and burl, which adds a striking touch.
weighing in between 3 and 4 lbs, this stand sits on top of rubber feet so it will not slide across your desk top. It is roughly 6 x 6 inches and stands 3 inches tall. The vice and flys in the image are just for display purposes and are not part of the purchasing package.
